The idea was born from my own experience as a young child, having the opportunity to get into all kinds of trouble, and having a good excuse for it. Instead, I chose to ride my horse. That time in the saddle, in such an impressionable time in my life, taught me that it was ok to be myself. I learned what it meant to be humble, hopeful, compassionate, confident, strong, and fearless. Most importantly I gained the tools to push through some of the toughest times then and now.
